{"id":3237,"date":"2026-01-04T17:41:44","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T17:41:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/3237\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T17:41:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T17:41:44","slug":"global-indigenous-leaders-gather-in-namibia-to-preserve-culture-and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/3237\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Indigenous Leaders Gather in Namibia to Preserve Culture and"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-align-justify\">The UNESCO Chair in Digital Technology Design with Indigenous People at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), in partnership with the Namibia National Commission for UNESCO, the UNESCO Windhoek Office, the National Commission on Science Research and Technology, and other partners, hosted the Indigenous Peoples\u2019 Knowledge Fair Ecology Custodianship Day on Thursday, 18 September 2025, at N\/a\u2019an ku s\u00ea Lodge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\">Held under the theme \u201cCustodians of Ecology: Shared Worlds, Shared Futures,\u201d the event brought together Indigenous leaders from Namibia and as far afield as Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Malaysia, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa.
