Within the scope of the agreement, 22 young Libyans who will serve in military industrial factories in Libya have been sent to Konya, one of Türkiye’s industrial centers, to participate in a technical training and hands‑on internship program.

The two‑month training program is being conducted at TÜMOSAN facilities, which operate under the Albayrak Group and are one of Türkiye’s leading production centers in the fields of engines, transmissions, and defense industry. Throughout the program, participants will receive theoretical training as well as hands‑on work on modern production lines, gaining familiarity with advanced production technologies. TÜMOSAN offers a production infrastructure with many years of engineering experience in engine, powertrain systems, and defense industry projects.

The training program covers areas such as CNC production systems, technical drawing, quality control, production planning, maintenance and repair, occupational safety, and modern factory management. The aim is to train qualified technical personnel to international standards who will work in Libya’s restructured military industrial facilities.

Authorities state that this program is not merely an internship activity but also the beginning of a long‑term development model based on knowledge and technology transfer. After successfully completing their training, the young engineers will take active roles in production, maintenance, modernization, and technical development processes at Libya’s military industrial factories upon their return to their country.

According to experts, this investment in human resources is of great importance for Libya’s goals of reducing external dependency in its defense industry and strengthening domestic production capacity. The training of qualified personnel is considered one of the most critical stages for the sustainability of the production infrastructure to be established.

A new link in Türkiye-Libya cooperation

This program, seen as a new link in the growing cooperation between Türkiye and Libya in recent years in the fields of defense and technical training, is expected to continue with new training groups covering different engineering branches in the coming period.

This training mobilization, initiated in line with Libya’s industrial vision, is regarded not only as the professional journey of 22 young individuals but also as an important milestone in the long‑term strategic partnership to be established between the two countries in the fields of knowledge, technology, and engineering.

One of the first concrete steps of the 30‑year strategic cooperation agreement signed with Libya’s Jihaz Tesni’ Askeri…

[34
3237,5704,15695,20318,169504,12917
post-352338","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-libya","tag-cooperation","tag-defense","tag-libya","tag-training","tag-tumosan","tag-turkiye
["GET
