Former BOSA Gauteng legislator Ayanda Allie has joined Herman Mashaba\u2019s ActionSA after her dismissal from BOSA over disputes about party levies.Allie will serve as ActionSA\u2019s 2026 campaign ambassador for Gauteng, focusing on issue-driven initiatives.Herman Mashaba praised Allie as \u201cyoung, vibrant, and hardworking,\u201d and Allie expressed gratitude for her past experiences and optimism for her new role.<\/p>\n

Former Build One South Africa (BOSA) legislator in Gauteng, Ayanda Allie, has joined Herman Mashaba\u2019s ActionSA. <\/p>\n

BOSA fired Allie last Thursday after a disciplinary process linked to her refusal to pay party tithes or levies. <\/p>\n

Allie claimed the party had demanded one month\u2019s salary and thereafter, 10% of her salary after tax. <\/p>\n

She refused to sign an initial code of conduct that laid out that expectation, and later signed a revised version. <\/p>\n

At an event in Johannesburg on Friday, ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba announced that Allie was joining the party.<\/p>\n

The party also announced that Allie would be its 2026 campaign ambassador for issue-driving in Gauteng. <\/p>\n

Mashaba described her as a \u201cyoung, vibrant, hardworking, proud South African.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said he had always admired Allie from a distance.<\/p>\n

Speaking directly to Allie, who was standing next to him, Mashaba said:<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got a huge responsibility to deliver me in Johannesburg, to deliver Xolani [Khumalo] in Ekurhuleni, to deliver Nasiphi [Moya] in Tshwane and the rest of the other municipalities.<\/p>\n

Allie said: \u201cThe last few weeks have been rather eventful. I don\u2019t want to dwell on the past, and I don\u2019t want to resuscitate the events preceding today.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she didn\u2019t want to mar what she described as a glorious occasion by \u201cregurgitating\u201d what had already been ventilated on many different platforms. <\/p>\n

\u201cI do, however, want to place on record my thanks to the previous organisation which I was part for the experience that it has given me and the opportunity to serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want that to be left unsaid, and I don\u2019t want to minimise their contribution. However, having said that, if I were in church, I was going to say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that it was a new season, new day, and new chapter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt matters not how I found myself in this room today.
