Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has launched the
\nimplementation, monitoring and acceleration tools for the National Development
\nVision 2050, marking the next phase of the country’s long-term development
\nagenda.<\/p>\n
Speaking at State House in Dar es Salaam, President Samia
\nsaid the launch fulfilled a directive she issued on July 17, 2025, when she
\nunveiled the National Development Vision 2050 in Dodoma.<\/p>\n
“On July 17, 2025, here in Dodoma, when I launched the National Development Vision 2050, I directed that implementation, monitoring, and acceleration materials be prepared,” she said.<\/p>\n
She also held a special dialogue with private sector leaders
\nand witnessed the signing of a Joint Declaration between the government and the
\nprivate sector aimed at strengthening accountability and collaboration in
\nimplementing the Vision.<\/p>\n
President Samia noted that the private sector is expected to
\ndrive about 70 per cent of the Vision’s implementation, reaffirming the
\ngovernment’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment and
\naddressing existing challenges.<\/p>\n
“The government will continue to create an enabling
\nenvironment, address existing challenges, and ensure that Vision goals are
\ntranslated into tangible outcomes that touch the lives of citizens,” she
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The President directed the President’s Office responsible
\nfor Planning and Investment, together with other relevant authorities, to
\nintensify public education on the implementation of the National Development
\nVision 2050.<\/p>\n
She also called on Tanzanians to safeguard peace, unity and
\nstability to ensure the Vision delivers meaningful results.<\/p>\n
“I urge Tanzanians to continue maintaining peace,
\nunity, and stability so that together we ensure this Vision does not remain
\nmere aspirations or a policy document, but is implemented with great success
\nfor the benefit of our Nation,” President Samia said.<\/p>\n
