ANGOLA \u2013 The 2026 northeast Indiana prep girls golf season kicked off Monday evening at Glendarin Hills Golf Club with the Angola Invitational.<\/p>\n
DeKalb, the best team in the area with five quality players returning from a state-qualifying team a year ago, won the nine-hole event with a team score of 170.<\/p>\n
The Barons had all their girls finish in the top seven, a good start to the new season.<\/p>\n
The Barons\u2019 Paige Williams was medalist with a 39. Lily Oburn of East Noble was runner-up with a 41, and DeKalb’s Jadan Tompkins was third with a 43.<\/p>\n
Barons Grace Pfister, Ellington Sparkman and Mollee Sonnenberg and Hornet Bri Metcalf tied for fourth with 44s.<\/p>\n
