Kenya, 21 August 2026 – Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has renewed calls for investigations into the death of former Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng\u2019eno, describing the late politician as a fearless champion of justice, equality and community interests.<\/p>\n
Gachagua, Kenya\u2019s former Deputy President, said Ng\u2019eno was a forthright leader whose sudden death left unanswered questions that continue to trouble many Kenyans.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy friend, the late Johanna Ng\u2019eno, was a formidable leader who championed the principles of equity and equality in leadership. He was a straightforward leader, fiercely protective of his community and committed to justice,\u201d Gachagua said.<\/p>\n
The former Deputy President called on authorities to launch immediate investigations into the circumstances surrounding Ng\u2019eno\u2019s death and urged the government to consider involving international investigative agencies, including Scotland Yard or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), to establish the truth.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis untimely passing shook the entire nation, leaving many questions unanswered to this day. We call upon the authorities to immediately initiate investigations into his death and consider involving international agencies such as Scotland Yard or the FBI to uncover the truth behind the demise of one of the most distinguished Kipsigis leaders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Gachagua spoke after visiting Mama Mary Temas, the mother of the late former legislator, at Mogondo village in Emurua Dikirr, Narok County.<\/p>\n
