{"id":389492,"date":"2026-08-21T21:28:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T21:28:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/389492\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T21:28:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T21:28:18","slug":"kenya-and-u-s-sign-new-military-training-partnership-dawan-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/389492\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya and U.S. Sign New Military Training Partnership | Dawan Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"relative group\">Kenya, August 21, 2026 &#8211; The National Defence University of Kenya (NDU-K) and Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) in Georgia, USA, have signed a new Training Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, as Kenya and the United States continue to strengthen their longstanding defence partnership.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The new partnership is aimed at advancing cooperation in defence education, technical and vocational training, professional development, institutional capacity building and knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Officials from both sides maintained that such partnerships will be core in ensuring that the two countries\u00a0nurture and develop high-skilled defence personnel as well as\u00a0strengthen resilient Defence Institutions which are capable of effectively responding to the\u00a0evolving security challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Agreement was signed by Lt. Gen. D.K.C. Tarus, Vice Chancellor of NDU-K, and Dr. Ivan H. Allen, President of CGTC. The signing was witnessed by Col. Christopher Mbutu, Defence Attach\u00e9 at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Washington, D.C., alongside Mr. Jeff Scruggs, Executive Vice President of CGTC, and Brig. Gen. I.G.
