President Kais Saied said in 2023 that the influx was aimed at changing the country’s demographic makeup.<\/p>\n
The central Mediterranean route is one of the world’s deadliest migration routes, used by migrants from Africa and the Middle East seeking to reach Europe, often in overcrowded or unseaworthy boats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Via X At least 13 Tunisians are missing after a migrant boat sank off the Tunisian coast while…\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":391143,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_share_on_mastodon":"0"},"categories":[57],"tags":[302,83,5821,5826,5824,243,5828,84,5829,3300,96,5825,264,5827,1980,174,5822,5823],"class_list":["post-391142","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tunisia","tag-breaking-news","tag-business","tag-dubai","tag-dubai-breaking","tag-dubai-news","tag-entertainment","tag-gulf-news","tag-headlines","tag-khaleej-times","tag-latest","tag-news","tag-news-radio","tag-sports","tag-stories","tag-story","tag-tunisia","tag-uae","tag-uae-news"],"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@africa\/117142519283897381","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/391142","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=391142"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/391142\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/391143"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=391142"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=391142"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=391142"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
