The Prime Minister and Head of Government of the Republic of Mali, Mr. Abdoulaye Ma\u00efga, emphasized today, Monday, in Algiers, that Algeria and his country share a common history that serves as a launching pad to engage in the path of modernity and progress, under the conviction of their leaderships of the necessity to work toward making the region a space of peace, free from all forms of colonialism and hegemony.<\/p>\n
In a press statement following his reception by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Ma\u00efga\u2014who is on a working visit to Algeria\u2014highlighted that the President of the Republic offered “wise advice” during the meeting, noting that “the shared history of the two countries constitutes an asset and a starting point for engaging in the path of modernity and progress.”<\/p>\n
He added that he arrived in Algeria carrying a message from General Assimi Go\u00efta, President of the Transition and Head of State of Mali, “through which he expressed his thanks to his brother, His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the invitation extended to him to pay an official visit to Algeria.”<\/p>\n
