{"id":394928,"date":"2026-08-25T15:48:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/394928\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T15:48:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T15:48:10","slug":"tinubu-orders-immediate-rescue-for-niger-abduction-victims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/394928\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Orders Immediate Rescue for Niger Abduction Victims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Bola Tinubu has directed an immediate rescue operation into the recent mass abduction of victims in Niger State.\n<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed by the president\u2019s Special Adviser on Information &amp; Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a State House release on Tuesday.\n<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu described the attackers as \u201cenemies of peace and enemies of humanity,\u201d as he assured the Federal Government\u2019s commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abductees.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who were killed in this barbaric assault and pray that Almighty God grant them eternal rest, and grant their loved ones the fortitude to bear this painful loss.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you,\u201d he affirmed.\n<\/p>\n<p>The president\u00a0directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and all relevant security and intelligence agencies to launch a coordinated rescue operation into the abduction, the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>Tinubu further vowed that the nation would not bow to any acts of terrorism, saying,\u00a0\u201cTerror will not cow Nigeria. We will defend our people, protect our communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy prayers are with the people of Niger State at this difficult time.
