THE Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) is celebrating after adding another major achievement to its growing number of accolades.<\/p>\n
The ICC was named Africa\u2019s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre at the recent 2026 World Travel Awards in Zanzibar, securing the title for a record 21st time since the category was introduced in 2000.<\/p>\n
Durban ICC CEO Lindiwe Rakharebe said the award reflected the strength of the partnerships supporting the city\u2019s business events sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cWinning this award for the twenty-first time is a proud moment in our history, but it also inspires us to look ahead.<\/p>\n

This recognition reflects the strength of the partnerships we have built over many years and our shared commitment to positioning Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa as globally competitive destinations for business events, tourism and investment.\u201d<\/p>\n Since opening its doors in 1997, the Durban ICC has hosted major international conferences, conventions, corporate events and entertainment productions.
