Police in Lang\u2019ata
\nsub-county are investigating an incident in which a 20-year-old man allegedly
\nstabbed his father to death following a dispute over the preparation of ugali.<\/p>\n

Joseph Okello, 70,
\nmet his untimely death in Mugumoini location after a bitter confrontation with
\nhis son, Peter Olwenye, over the cooking process of the staple meal.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said the
\ndeceased questioned his son\u2019s decision to begin preparing ugali using water
\nthat had not sufficiently boiled. <\/p>\n

The disagreement
\nreportedly escalated after the father challenged the logic behind his son\u2019s
\ncooking method, leading to a deadly altercation.<\/p>\n

Mugumoini Senior
\nChief George Mukuria said the suspect fled the scene immediately after the
\nincident and may have been under the influence of drugs at the time.<\/p>\n

The administrator
\nadded that the victim died on the spot after sustaining multiple stab wounds to
\nthe back and neck.<\/p>\n

Village elders and
\nyouths have since mounted a pursuit and managed to trace the suspect to his
\nhideout in the Soweto area, where he was apprehended and handed over to
\nofficers from Lang\u2019ata Police Station who were on patrol.<\/p>\n

The body of the
\ndeceased was taken to Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary, pending a
