11 suspected) and one death (CFR: 4.17%) of cholera have been reported from two (Kunene and Otjozondjupa) regions in Namibia.<\/p>\n<p>The last cholera outbreak in Namibia before the 2025 outbreak, occurred in 2014 with 504 cases and 16 deaths (CFR: 3.17%) reported mostly in four regions.<\/p>\n<p>Across the African continent since the beginning of the year, a total of 309,553 cases (10,017 confirmed; 47 probable; 299,489 suspected) and 7,136 deaths (CFR: 2.31%) have been reported from 24 African Union Member states.<\/p>\n<p>Countries reporting the largest cholera outbreaks this year include: South Sudan (78,034;
