She became the first to win the category twice.<\/p>\n<p>Tyla beat out <a href=\"https:\/\/allafrica.com\/stories\/202602020254.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">stiff competition<\/a>, including Burna Boy, Davido featuring Omah Lay, Eddy Kenzo, Mehran Matin, and Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid.\u00a0Tyla&#8217;s latest accolade cements her global rise and comes as she reveals that her second album, T2, is in development.<\/p>\n<p>However, Grammy host Trevor Noah missed out on the award for Best Audio Book, losing to The Dalai Lama&#8217;s Meditations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/allafrica.com\/view\/group\/main\/main\/id\/00095552.html\" title=\"Nigeria&#039;s Fela Kuti Receives Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/00241265:241f0efd241dd6441b59dfa10f93cebd:arc180x120:w400:us1.jpg\" alt=\"Fela Kuti\" width=\"180\" height=\"120\"\/><\/p>\n<p>        <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three decades after his death, the legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti has made history as the first African artist to receive a posthumous Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Recording Academy said that Fela is being <a href=\"https:\/\/allafrica.com\/stories\/202601300340.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">honored posthumously<\/a> for his contribution to modern Nigerian Afrobeats and for inspiring many global singers.
