The incident, under investigation by the Police reflects the growing political tension ahead of the 2026 General Election.<\/p>\n<p>On January 4, 2026, at about 6:30pm, the brothers clashed in Lali Cell, Enyio Ward, after debating support for Isael Ali Ogama (National Resistance Movement flag-bearer) and Ronald Afidra (independent and the incumbent).<\/p>\n<p>Police say the dispute turned physical when Bulia grabbed a bow and arrow, intending to attack their father.\u00a0 Asia intervened to stop him, but Bulia fired the arrow, striking him near his genital area. <\/p>\n<p>Asia, a staunch supporter of Afidra, was wearing a yellow T-shirt emblazoned with his candidate\u2019s photo during the confrontation. However, Bulia, backing Ogama, fled after the attack as Asia was rushed to Rhino Camp Health Centre IV, where surgeons successfully removed the arrow embedded near his abdomen.<\/p>\n<p>West Nile Police region spokesperson Josephine Angucia told\u00a0New Vision Online that the case was registered as attempted murder (CRB 006\/2026), with investigations ongoing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No arrests have been made yet, but we\u2019re gathering witness statements to ensure justice,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Violence condemned<\/p>\n<p>Ogama distanced himself from the attack, urging supporters to reject violence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If any backer turns violent, I\u2019ll disown them.
