On January 3, 19-year-old Caleb Pittaway passed away following a devastating car accident on Watermeyer Street, where his vehicle struck the back of a truck.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are not sure what happened. The only information we have is that he hit a truck from the back,\u201d his father, Aubrey Pittaway, said.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cCaleb was impossible to miss. The first thing you notice when he walks through a door is his striking red hair,\u201d Pittaway said.<\/p>\n
He added that, although his red hair was the trademark of his appearance, it was his kind heart and bubbly personality that truly commanded attention.<\/p>\n
His family will most miss the simple, cheerful way he entered their lives every day.<\/p>\n
His signature greeting, a long, friendly \u2018Heyy!\u2019, was the soundtrack in their home.<\/p>\n
When asked to capture Caleb\u2019s essence in a single memory, Pittaway pointed to his humble and gentle nature.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether it was a friend in need or a stranger requiring a hand, Caleb was always willing to help.\u201d<\/p>\n
Caleb leaves behind a grieving family, including his mother, father, brother, and two sisters, as well as a huge circle of friends.<\/p>\n
Caleb\u2019s funeral will take place on Friday.<\/p>\n
