Sam Battle, aka Look Mum No Computer, electronic musician and synth tuber, will represnt UK at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna<\/p>\n

No other country is as synonymous with modern music as Great Britain. It has produced more legendary bands than any other: The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and many synth bands, including Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, OMD, and more.<\/p>\n

With this level of musical expertise, one would expect to win the ESC many times over. Well, not really, the last time was in 1997. This year, they\u2019re sending a familiar face from the Synthesizer world. Sam Battle, aka Look Mum No Computer, will represent the UK at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.<\/p>\n

Look Mum No Computer Eurovision 2026<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t usually cover Eurovision because synthesizers aren\u2019t really a focus. Especially because the vocals are live while the instruments are played back.<\/p>\n

With Look Mum No Computer, however, the UK is sending a personality from the Synthesizer world who takes us along weekly in his cabin, or more precisely, the museum of synth curiosities. Yes, he has a synth museum called \u201cThis Museum Is (Not) Obsolete<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

Since it was Sam\u2019s long-held wish to participate in Eurovision, I imagine he will have less time to take care of his museum in the coming months. In a BBC article<\/a> he says<\/p>\n

I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey. I have always been a massive Eurovision fan, and I love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been working a long-time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process. I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can\u2019t wait for everyone to hear and see what we\u2019ve created. I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!<\/p>\n

The song to be performed by Look Mum No Computer is not yet known. It\u2019s also unclear whether he\u2019ll use his legendary Furby organ, his modular synthesizer, or an all-new instrument for ESC, but he says, \u201cI hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s great news. I\u2019m sure that this year, many Synthesizer enthusiasts who don\u2019t normally watch Eurovision will tune in. I\u2019m especially happy about this since I live in Vienna and I know him through my event with Thomann (Thomann\u2019s Synth Reactor) back in 2019.<\/p>\n

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be held from May 12 to 16, 2026, in Vienna.<\/p>\n
