{"id":9454,"date":"2026-01-07T14:38:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T14:38:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/9454\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T14:38:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T14:38:23","slug":"defence-slams-states-evidence-as-weak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/africa\/9454\/","title":{"rendered":"Defence slams State\u2019s evidence as weak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The attorney representing the man accused of having allegedly played a role in the murder of Warrick Stock, commonly known as DJ Warras, claims the State has a weak case against his client.<\/p>\n<p>Victor Majola was arrested in Soweto six days after Stock was shot dead by an unknown suspect in Johannesburg\u2019s CBD on 16 December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Charged with premeditated murder, Majola briefly appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where his case was postponed to next week for a formal bail application.<\/p>\n<p>Majola\u2019s attorney, Dumisani Mabunda, claims the State\u2019s case against his client is not solid.<\/p>\n<p>He is charged with premeditated murder in relation to the murder of DJ Warras.<\/p>\n<p>ALSO READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewn.co.za\/2026\/01\/06\/dj-warras-murder-suspect-appears-in-court-after-medical-treatment\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> DJ Warras murder suspect appears in court after medical treatment<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Addressing the media outside the Johannesburg Magistrates Court this morning after Majola\u2019s brief second appearance, Mabunda accused the State of having no substantialevidence linking his client to Stock\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They actually struggled to place this matter on the court roll due to a lack of evidence.
