Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd (TSX-V:RECO, OTCQX:RECAF) has
\nannounced a CAD20mn ($14.8mn) overnight marketed private placement
\nto fund a broad 2026 capital programme spanning Namibia, Angola and
\noffshore Gabon.<\/p>\n
\nThe financing is intended to support exploration, appraisal and
\ntechnical work across the company\u2019s southern and west African
\nportfolio, as ReconAfrica advances a multi-basin strategy following
\nrecent acreage additions and regulatory engagements.<\/p>\n
\nIn Namibia, the company holds interests in exploration licences
\nin the Kavango Basin, where it has previously drilled exploratory
\nwells and conducted seismic programmes targeting conventional oil
\nand gas prospects in underexplored onshore acreage.<\/p>\n
\nReconAfrica has also expanded into Angola, pursuing early-stage
\nexploration opportunities as the country seeks to sustain upstream
\ninvestment and attract new international explorers under its
\nlicensing and regulatory framework.<\/p>\n
\nOffshore Gabon provides exposure to a mature hydrocarbon
\nprovince with established infrastructure and a track record of
\ncommercial discoveries, offering portfolio balance between frontier
\nand lower-risk plays.<\/p>\n
\nThe overnight marketed private placement will fund capital
\nexpenditure, technical studies and general corporate purposes.
