Agriculture faces pressure to cut emissions, restore soil health, and build climate resilience. AgriCarbon is aiming to tackle these challenges by supporting farmers to adopt regenerative land management practices and generate verified carbon credits.<\/p>\n
Since its launch in 2021, AgriCarbon has issued 39,207 tonnes of carbon credits, aided by sustainable practices implemented by 29 farmers across 17,582 hectares. Backed by 70,000 unique data points collected during its first three-year monitoring period, the programme is a regional leader in climate-smart farming.<\/p>\n
Why digital transformation matters<\/p>\n
AgriCarbon is the first African project \u2013 and only the second globally \u2013 certified under Verra\u2019s VM0042 Agricultural Land Management methodology. Meeting these rigorous standards requires robust data management, monitoring, reporting, and verification.<\/p>\n
This is where MyEasyFarm steps in. Its MyEasyCarbon platform will streamline how farmers record practice changes, ensure compliance with VM0042, and improve overall data integrity.<\/p>\n
Scaling impact through collaboration<\/p>\n
By combining MyEasyFarm\u2019s digital capabilities with Anthesis\u2019 sustainability expertise, the partnership aims to enhance data quality for carbon credit validation; simplify programme participation for farmers; and build confidence in the integrity of credits generated.<\/p>\n
