Internetbeschr\u00e4nkungen und das Verbot von zehn Nichtregierungsorganisationen vor den Wahlen am Donnerstag seien &#8222;zutiefst besorgniserregend&#8220;, erkl\u00e4rte das UN-Menschenrechtskommissariat am Mittwoch im Onlinedienst X. Der offene Zugang zu Kommunikation und Informationen sei der &#8222;Schl\u00fcssel zu freien und echten Wahlen&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_text-default__P3otY Typography_weight-normal__pqUbH storyline_paragraph_p__qSR5N\">Die ugandischen Beh\u00f6rden hatten den Zugang zum Internet am Dienstag abgeschaltet. Zuletzt hatten die Beh\u00f6rden zudem zehn Nichtregierungsorganisationen angewiesen, ihre Aktivit\u00e4ten einzustellen. Die Menschenrechtsorganisation Human Rights Watch erkl\u00e4rte, die Einstufung der NGOs als &#8222;illegal&#8220; sei ein Beweis daf\u00fcr, dass die Regierung die Meinungs- und Vereinigungsfreiheit missachte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_text-default__P3otY Typography_weight-normal__pqUbH storyline_paragraph_p__qSR5N\">Bei der Pr\u00e4sidentschaftwahl am Donnerstag hofft der seit 40 Jahren regierende Amtsinhaber Yoweri Museveni darauf, f\u00fcr eine siebte Amtszeit gew\u00e4hlt zu werden. Da der 81-J\u00e4hrige die Staats- und Sicherheitsorgane kontrolliert und die Opposition unterdr\u00fcckt, ist sein Sieg wahrscheinlich.
