\n Der US-Konzern Moderna entwickelt mit Unterst\u00fctzung der internationalen Impfallianz CEPI einen Impfstoff gegen das Bundibugyo-Ebolavirus. Damit werde auf den Ebola-Ausbruch in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo reagiert, teilte Moderna am Montag mit. Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden weltweit suchen mit Hochdruck nach L\u00f6sungen, um die Ausbreitung einzud\u00e4mmen. Bisher wurden mehr als 900 Verdachtsf\u00e4lle und \u00fcber 220 mutma\u00dfliche Todesf\u00e4lle im Zusammenhang mit dem Ausbruch registriert. <\/p>\n

CEPI stellt Moderna bis zu 50 Millionen Dollar f\u00fcr die pr\u00e4klinische Entwicklung und erste klinische Tests des Impfstoffkandidaten zur Verf\u00fcgung. Zudem investiert CEPI nach eigenen Angaben zun\u00e4chst maximal 8,6 Millionen Dollar in ein Vakzin, das von der Universit\u00e4t Oxford und dem Serum Institute of India entwickelt wird. Weitere 3,2 Millionen Dollar flie\u00dfen in ein Projekt der International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). Unabh\u00e4ngig davon sagte die globale Impfallianz Gavi am Montag bis zu 50 Millionen Dollar zu.
