Google has announced a series of AI-powered advertising and marketing tools at Google Marketing Live 2026, expanding the role of Gemini across Search, YouTube, Google Ads and Merchant Center.
The company introduced new ad formats, campaign management features, creative tools and measurement capabilities aimed at helping businesses manage advertising across Google’s platforms.
“With 86% of surveyed online Indians turning to Google Search and YouTube, Indian businesses have a tremendous opportunity to meet consumers where they are—and we are enabling that with Gemini,” said Roma Datta Chobey, managing director, Connected Consumer Commerce, Google India. “Gemini is now the engine accelerating growth for our customers across our ads products as we move beyond marketing automation to marketing intelligence, setting the stage for the agentic era where AI acts as a true strategic growth partner.”
Among the announcements was Business Agent for Leads, a beta feature for India that enables users to interact with an AI-powered brand agent within Search ads. The company said UpGrad is testing the feature to support its lead generation process.
Google also introduced YouTube BrandStack, a campaign planning, buying and measurement solution developed in India. The company said Axis Max Life Insurance was among the first brands to use the product. It also announced YouTube Affiliate Partnerships Boost, an ad format designed to incorporate creator content into advertising campaigns.
The company unveiled additional updates across its advertising products, including AI Max for Shopping, AI Brief for Search campaigns, Retention Only Mode in Performance Max, expanded Demand Gen capabilities, and enhancements to Asset Studio for creating ad assets using AI.
Google also announced that Meridian, its open-source marketing mix model, will be integrated into Google Analytics 360. Other updates include Attributed Branded Searches, a new measurement metric, Ask Advisor, an AI-powered assistant for Google’s marketing products, and new Merchant Center tools to help retailers track product visibility across Google’s AI-powered experiences.
