New Delhi: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced a partnership with Google India to integrate Google Gemini into the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), positioning the AI assistant as a ‘knowledge companion’ for viewers and aspiring contestants.
As part of the collaboration, Google Gemini will be integrated across Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, assisting audiences with KBC registrations, eligibility information, and general knowledge preparation.
Users will also be able to access registration guidance through the Google Gemini app, while a series of interactive knowledge challenges is expected to roll out during the season.
Kanika Kalra, Director of Marketing at Google India, said the company aims to make Gemini an interactive learning companion that helps viewers explore new topics, prepare for the quiz show, and satisfy their curiosity. “We hope to serve as an interactive knowledge companion for millions of households, giving viewers and aspirants an engaging, intuitive way to explore new topics, expand their preparation, and satisfy their quest for learning.”
The partnership was unveiled through a new promotional film featuring KBC host Amitabh Bachchan, who introduces Google Gemini as a new participant in the show’s journey.
Nachiket Pantvaidya, Chief Content Officer at Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “Through our collaboration with Google Gemini, we are bringing together the legacy of KBC with the power of Google Gemini’s Artificial Intelligence for households across India. This collaboration adds a new layer of innovation within the content of the show and creates newer ways for audiences to engage with the show.”
The companies said the collaboration reflects a broader intersection of entertainment and artificial intelligence, with Gemini being woven into the show’s viewer experience rather than appearing solely as a promotional integration.
Registrations for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati are now open through the official channels.
