CEO David Primor Says AI Has Boosted Engineering Productivity up to Threefold

Cynomi’s adoption of AI-based development has increased engineering productivity by two to three times, enabling the company to deliver larger product releases, said CEO David Primor.

Cynomi analyzed common security workflows and created specialized AI agents that can automatically generate remediation plans, build security policies, prioritize risks and create optimized road maps, he said. The company’s long-term vision is for agents that can independently monitor environments, execute predefined workflows and notify security teams when human approval is required, Primor said (see: How Virtual CISO Enhancements Will Help MSPs Grow Operations).
“The main difference between a co-worker and autonomous agents is that co-worker, you work with them, and the chat asks you some questions about what you want from this agent, and then it’s doing it for you,” Primor said. “But when you have autonomous agent, it’s like, ‘Okay, I did it once. I configure it, I know what it should do, and then I can run it.'”

A retired lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces’ Unit 8200 and previously technology director of Israel’s cyber authority, Primor spent decades dealing with state-level cyberthreats.
