BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – As headlines across the country are warning of an outbreak of “explosive diarrhea,” one popular Facebook page is using AI – and WBRC’s Jhas Williams – to have some fun with the situation.

The page Only In Birmingham shared a video featuring the likeness of Williams as she encounters the dangerous lettuce in the fresh produce aisle.
The AI version of Williams show as much fire in the video as she does in the newsroom, fighting off the monster lettuce in dramatic fashion before what can only be described as a celebration dance.
In the real world, meanwhile, confirmed cases of cyclospora are approaching 7,000.

The multi-state outbreak was first reported after shredded iceberg lettuce sold at some Taco Bell locations were linked to cases of explosive diarrhea caused by a parasite.
Across the US, a record number of cyclospora cases have been reported in more than 30 states. Experts have said, however, that not every illness might be caused by a single source.

Taylor Fresh Foods, the supplier behind the affected lettuce, announced Saturday they are recalling all of its lettuce sourced from central Mexico that was sold in the US.
