Rapidus Corp. and Cadence have partnered to advance agentic AI for advanced-node system-on-chip (SoC) design by integrating the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent into the Rapidus AI-Agentic Design Solution (Raads).
The collaboration combines Rapidus’s AI-native design and manufacturing ecosystem with Cadence’s agentic AI design orchestration technology to improve engineering productivity, accelerate time to market, and enhance design quality throughout the SoC design lifecycle. Rapidus said it is targeting up to a twofold improvement in design turnaround time (TAT) compared with conventional design flows.
The companies said the increasing demands of AI infrastructure and emerging physical AI systems require closer co-optimization across semiconductor design, manufacturing, packaging, and system integration. Agentic AI is expected to play a key role in managing the growing complexity of advanced-node SoC development.

As part of the collaboration, Rapidus expanded its Raads platform with two new tools—Raads Navigator and Raads Indicator—to improve quality assurance and assist engineers in resolving design issues. The tools have been integrated with the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent to automate and coordinate workflows spanning architectural exploration, implementation, and signoff.
According to the press release, the integrated platform applies data-driven optimization throughout the design process to improve predictability, increase engineering productivity, and support Rapidus’ goal of significantly reducing design turnaround time.
Rapidus and Cadence will present the collaboration at CadenceLIVE Japan 2026, where Rapidus CEO Atsuyoshi Koike will discuss how the company is integrating Cadence’s agentic AI and electronic design automation technologies into its Raads platform.
