Cognizant, based in Teaneck, is partnering with Gulf Edge Co. Ltd., the digital infrastructure arm of Gulf Group, to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption across Thailand and support the country’s transition toward what the companies described as an AI-native economy.

The strategic partnership will combine Gulf Edge’s digital infrastructure, energy, cloud and market relationships in Thailand with Cognizant’s capabilities in AI, digital engineering, cloud modernization, data and intelligent operations. The companies said the collaboration is intended to help organizations deploy AI securely, responsibly and at scale.

The partnership will focus initially on banking and financial services, energy and utilities, health care, telecommunications, manufacturing and the public sector. Gulf Edge and Cognizant said they plan to deliver end-to-end AI capabilities that include infrastructure, AI platforms, enterprise solutions, systems integration and managed services.

The companies said the effort is designed to help organizations improve efficiency, enhance customer experience, strengthen decision-making, automate complex business processes and develop new opportunities for innovation and growth.

“Our partnership with Cognizant marks an important milestone in our vision of helping Thailand become an AI-native economy,” Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Public Co. Ltd., said. “By combining Gulf Edge’s strengths in digital infrastructure, energy, cloud, and deep understanding of the Thai market with Cognizant’s global expertise in enterprise AI, digital engineering, and transformation services, we are creating a comprehensive platform that enables organizations to adopt AI with confidence and generate measurable business outcomes.”

The partnership also is aimed at strengthening Thailand’s position as a regional AI hub. Gulf Edge and Cognizant said they expect the collaboration to attract global technology expertise, stimulate investment in advanced digital capabilities and create high-value employment opportunities in AI engineering, data science, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital transformation.

Ganesh Ayyar, president of Asia Pacific & Japan at Cognizant, said the companies share a goal of helping Thai organizations move from AI investment to business value.

“As an AI Builder, Cognizant focuses on bridging the gap between AI investments and measurable business value by building AI into everyday workflows, utilizing specific business context, and embedding it directly into existing operations,” Ayyar said.

Ayyar said the joint effort has the potential to generate up to about 1,000 high-skilled jobs in advanced AI and digital transformation.

Cognizant and Gulf Edge also plan to collaborate with universities, research institutions, technology partners and public-sector organizations to develop AI talent, promote responsible AI adoption and support a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
