KT has launched a new lineup of its Choice mobile plans that bundle in generative artificial intelligence benefits through a partnership with Google.
KT added Google AI features to its existing Choice plans to let customers use AI naturally in daily life, telecom industry sources said on the 12th.
The Choice plans offer fully unlimited data at monthly prices ranging from 90,000 won to 130,000 won ($65 to $94). Each plan also provides shared data of 60GB to 100GB, which can be used across devices such as tablets and smartwatches.
The new plans come in four tiers. Each includes Google AI Plus with 400GB of storage, worth about 7,500 won a month, as a standard feature, while customers can choose higher-tier AI products depending on their needs. That means subscribers can use generative AI services such as Gemini and 400GB of cloud storage without a separate subscription. For an additional fee, customers can also receive extra storage, more advanced AI features and services such as YouTube Premium.
KT said the new lineup, designed to keep pace with changing customer usage patterns, is intended to make generative AI easier and more convenient to use within its telecom services.
“Generative AI is quickly becoming part of customers’ daily lives and their work overall, so we have introduced these products to let anyone experience AI easily and conveniently,” said Kim Young-geol, senior vice president and head of KT’s Customer Business Group. “We will continue to expand new customer experiences that combine telecom services with AI services.”
