FC Barcelona have strengthened their technology portfolio with Google Gemini and Google Pixel becoming official partners of the club, in a collaboration designed to bring artificial intelligence and mobile technology deeper into the fan experience.

Under the agreement, Google Gemini becomes FC Barcelona’s official consumer AI partner, while Google Pixel takes the position of official mobile phone partner. The partnership covers the club’s men’s and women’s first football teams and will focus on personalised fan experiences, digital content and new technology-led ways of engaging with the club.

Gemini will be positioned as an AI-powered football companion for supporters, providing new ways to understand match tactics and interact with the game. The technology will also be used to turn matchday emotions into fan chants and create immersive experiences that allow supporters to imagine moments such as scoring the winning goal at Spotify Camp Nou.

Pixel, meanwhile, will feature prominently in exclusive digital content showcasing the daily lives of FC Barcelona’s men’s and women’s first teams. Fans will also be able to personalise their devices with FC Barcelona branding, extending the partnership beyond content and into the consumer technology experience.

Esther Marinas, Marketing Director at Google, said, “We are thrilled to partner with FC Barcelona, a club that has not only built champions on the pitch but has also defined football culture off it. By bringing together Google Pixel’s hardware and Google Gemini’s capabilities, we want to reimagine what a sports partnership can be. Together with FC Barcelona’s incredible global fanbase, we will enhance how they capture, analyse, and celebrate the game we all love — making the matchday experience more personal, creative, and accessible for everyone.”

Marc Bruix, Global Sponsorships Director at FC Barcelona, added, “At FC Barcelona, we are very proud to announce this pioneering partnership with Google Gemini and Google Pixel. This collaboration is unique, bringing together cutting-edge technology and a passion for football. Together, we will offer our fans new ways to connect with the Club, from exclusive digital content captured with Pixel to new AI-powered perspectives through Gemini. This partnership will bring fans closer to the action than ever before.”

The agreement adds to Google’s growing presence across global sport. In 2026, the company has expanded partnerships across football and other major properties, including Paris Saint-Germain, LALIGA, the NBA, the Indian Premier League (IPL), the International Cricket Council (ICC), McLaren Racing and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

For Google, FC Barcelona offers a global platform to demonstrate Gemini and Pixel in a high-engagement sporting environment. For the club, the partnership signals a broader shift from conventional sponsorship exposure towards technology-enabled fan engagement, with AI increasingly becoming a strategic category within sports partnerships.
