Google has announced new AI features across Google Ads and Google Analytics aimed at helping marketers identify performance changes, analyse data and make campaign decisions.
The updates expand Ask Advisor, Google’s in-product AI agent across its marketing platforms. The tools are designed to help marketers find insights faster while retaining control over their decisions.
Google Analytics will now show AI Overviews at the top of its homepage, summarising key changes since a user’s last login. The summaries can highlight changes such as seasonal sales peaks and shifts in website traffic. Users can click on a data card to send the information to Ask Advisor for further analysis.
Users can also opt to receive notifications about these updates through phone or email at a selected frequency.
Google Ads is also getting an updated homepage with AI-powered insights cards tailored to individual businesses. A prompt box above the cards will allow users to generate insights based on specific questions, including changes in competitors’ impression share or trends that could affect campaigns.

The company is also introducing Dashboards in Google Ads, with the feature expected to come to Google Analytics later. Marketers will be able to create visual reports using text prompts. Each report will include a real-time summary explaining the data and performance.
In Google Analytics, Ask Advisor is also gaining a benchmarking feature. It will compare campaign performance with anonymised averages from similar businesses, giving marketers additional context to assess their results.

Speaking about the features, Kevin Marshall, Paid Media Director, Gardyn, said, “Ask Advisor has become my go-to for a directional check on paid media performance… That speed matters because it gives me time to dig deeper and make shifts that improve performance sooner.”
The new features are built with Gemini and are intended to help marketers move from analysing data to taking action more quickly.
