Ryanair is partnering with Google Cloud for five years to strengthen its cloud resilience and equip 35,000 employees with artificial intelligence and collaboration tools as the airline works towards its target of carrying 300 million passengers annually by 2034.

Ryanair is embarking on a new five-year partnership with Google Cloud as the airline prepares to scale its operations and support its long-term growth ambitions. 

Under the agreement, 35,000 Ryanair employees across its network will gain access to Google Workspace and Google Cloud services. The technology rollout is intended to support the airline’s plans to reach 300 million passengers by 2034, whilst enhancing productivity and operational resilience. 

Central to the partnership is Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s agentic artificial intelligence (AI). The solution is designed to connect organisational data, automate workflows, and enable businesses to create tailored AI agents. 

For Ryanair, the technology will be deployed to support decision-making, optimise flight crew logistics, and improve productivity across the organisation. 

Alongside its AI ambitions, Ryanair will use the partnership to reinforce its infrastructure through a new dual-cloud strategy. 

Google Cloud’s multi-cloud services will allow the airline to work across multiple cloud providers, creating greater flexibility across its digital infrastructure. Should one cloud platform experience disruption, critical airline services will be able to adapt quickly, helping Ryanair maintain its flight operations and customer services.

The partnership will also see Ryanair apply Google Cloud’s AI technology to areas including operational planning, fleet operations, and maintenance. 

The airline plans to use Google DeepMind models, including AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext, to assist with fleet operations and maintenance scheduling. 

By incorporating these capabilities into its operations, Ryanair aims to use AI to support planning and decision-making across its network whilst maintaining its focus on operational efficiency.

Google Workspace with Gemini will also form part of Ryanair’s technology transformation, replacing its existing collaboration systems with a new cloud-focused platform. 

The move is intended to modernise workflows across the organisation whilst giving employees access to collaborative tools and AI capabilities through Google Workspace. 

Together, these technologies will support Ryanair’s wider objectives around productivity and customer service as the airline continues to expand its operations.
