Cloudways, part of DigitalOcean Holdings, Inc., the simplest scalable cloud for digital native enterprises, announces Managed AI Agents, a new product line designed to simplify how developers, engineers, agencies and businesses deploy and manage AI agents. The new offering launches with OpenClaw and Hermes as its first two Managed AI Agents, with additional open-source AI agents planned over time.

OpenClaw and Hermes bring two established open-source AI agent projects to Cloudways, giving developers greater choice in how they build and deploy AI-powered agents.

As AI agents move from experimentation into production, deploying them remains technically complex. Businesses often need to provision infrastructure, configure containers, secure environments, and manage ongoing maintenance before they can begin building. This operational overhead slows development and creates unnecessary barriers for businesses looking to adopt AI.

Cloudways’ Managed AI Agents offering removes that complexity by providing a fully managed deployment experience for open-source AI agents. Customers can deploy OpenClaw and Hermes through the same Cloudways platform they use for application hosting, removing the need to rent a VPS, set up the environment, configure security, gateway, ports/servers, while benefiting from familiar support, billing, and infrastructure management. This allows developers to focus on what their AI agents actually do rather than maintaining the underlying environment.

Every deployment runs in an isolated environment for security. Agent runtime updates are validated by Cloudways before rollout, helping protect customers from broken releases. And with 1-click Cloudways MCP integration, the agent can act on the servers and applications the customer already runs on Cloudways.
