Adobe has introduced AI Collaborators in Workfront, a capability designed to bring AI agents into marketing workflows with permissions, review processes and activity tracking.

The feature allows AI agents to be assigned tasks in Workfront like human team members. It provides agents with project context, including task descriptions, campaign briefs, brand guidelines and messaging requirements, and returns their output to the relevant Workfront task for review and approval.

The system is designed to make AI-assisted work more visible and repeatable while maintaining human oversight. Agents operate with role-based permissions, while their activities and outputs remain recorded within Workfront.

Potential applications include creating marketing copy, localising content across markets, generating ad variations and checking content for brand compliance. The company’s global marketing team is also developing AI Collaborators to create channel-specific image renditions and support page creation and event-promotion workflows.

The feature can connect with agents built on platforms including Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude managed agents and Writer. Connections can also be established through public API endpoints, MCP endpoints or agent-to-agent connections.

The company also highlighted Workfront MCP, which allows users to access Workfront through AI tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and ChatGPT. The two capabilities are intended to enable work to move between Workfront and AI tools while maintaining governance and a central record of activity.
