Raymond Claude Ferguson, a devoted father, son, brother, and friend passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the age of 68.

Ray was free-spirited. He loved skiing, especially at Brian Head, hiking, stargazing, taking the boat out on the lake to water ski, listening to good music while driving around with his four-legged best friend, spending time with family and friends, and soaking up the sunshine. He also followed his heart in his work and was a dedicated business owner of Weatherguard Magnetic Windows and Sunscreens for 35 years.

Above all, Ray’s greatest joy was his family. He was the proud and loving father of six children, to whom he passed down his resilience, values, and appreciation for life’s simple moments. He guided his family with patience, humor, and a generous heart, always ensuring his kids knew they were deeply loved. He had a way of lighting up the room, and we hope to carry that with us, to always look for the bright side.

Ray is survived by his six children, Raymond Ferguson Jr., Aaron Ferguson, Scott Ferguson, Jessica Ferguson (Puckett), Dani Ferguson, and Melissa Jo Ferguson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian Bettis (Robb), Raymond Ray Ferguson, Ivan Robb, and his wife, Sandra Boyett.

We will celebrate his life on Friday, August 28, at 10:00 am at Spilsbury Mortuary 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 9:00 – 9:45 am and he will be laid to rest at the Paragonah Cemetery following the service.

We love him more than the sun, the moon, the earth and the stars. We will think of him in every sunrise and every star-filled night.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help cover final funeral expenses would be appreciated by the family. You may donate by calling Spilsbury Mortuary, 435-673-2454 or email office@spilsburymortuary.com
