Huace Film & TV Co has entered into a partnership with U.S.-based Utopai Studios to use its PAI cinematic storytelling artificial general intelligence as the core engine for long-form narrative creation across its production operations. The agreement includes a large-scale annual usage commitment and a usage-based revenue-sharing structure, positioning the deal as part of Utopai’s international expansion and a significant deployment within a major global content company. As enterprise customers place greater scrutiny on customization, privacy, and security, Utopai Studios has positioned itself to support company-specific requirements across regions and regulatory environments.
Huace, one of China’s leading film and television companies with operations spanning development, production, and distribution, brings one of the world’s largest television IP libraries to the partnership. Its content reaches more than 200 countries and regions, with distribution channels across more than 20 international platforms, including Netflix and YouTube. The scale of Huace’s catalog and operations presents an opportunity to apply PAI across development, adaptation, and production workflows at an enterprise level.
The partnership follows Huace’s extensive evaluation of AI tools, during which it sought a system capable of supporting full production workflows rather than standalone video generation or editing functions. “Huace approached this opportunity with a clear view of what matters for a media company building for the future,” said Zhao Yifang, Founder and Chairwoman of Huace Group. “We looked closely at the available models in the market and were not looking for a generation tool alone. We wanted a platform that could better support narrative quality, creative control, continuity and real production workflows from development through delivery. PAI stood out in that regard. Its long-form capabilities, end-to-end value and professional orientation made Utopai Studios the right partner for us. Our decision to work with Utopai reflects the power of PAI and the value of technology designed for long-form creative workflows.”
PAI is Utopai Studios’ flagship cinematic storytelling agentic system, designed for long-form media production and rigorously trained on cinematic language and narrative continuity. A recent update introduced three-minute 4K video generation capabilities, along with multi-shot sequencing designed to maintain consistency across scenes and support extended narrative construction.
Utopai Studios operates as an original IP and cinematic production company combining proprietary technology with production workflows. Its international presence includes subsidiaries in Korea and Germany. Huace, a publicly listed company, has developed its international distribution business over more than two decades, maintaining a broad global footprint across traditional and digital platforms.
