Adobe has introduced a new connector that integrates its Creative Cloud tools with Anthropic’s Claude, marking a step toward embedding professional creative workflows directly within conversational AI platforms.
The “Adobe for creativity” connector allows users to access a suite of more than 50 tools spanning applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and InDesign from within Claude’s interface. Instead of switching between multiple software environments, users can describe a task in natural language, and the system executes a sequence of actions across Adobe’s tools to produce the desired output.
The development reflects a broader shift in how creative software is being delivered and used. Rather than relying on manual, step-by-step workflows, the connector introduces an orchestration layer that automates processes such as image editing, asset design, and video formatting. Adobe positions this as a way to streamline production tasks, particularly for users who may not be deeply familiar with individual tools.
Early use cases include retouching portrait images, generating social media assets, and resizing videos for different platforms. For example, users can upload a horizontal video and request a version optimized for short-form formats, or input a design brief and receive editable visual assets. The connector handles tool selection and sequencing in the background, while still allowing users to refine outputs interactively.
The integration also connects back to Adobe’s broader ecosystem. Work initiated within Claude can be transferred to Adobe applications such as Express or Firefly for further editing, suggesting a hybrid workflow where AI-assisted creation is complemented by traditional software for detailed adjustments.
The launch comes alongside Adobe’s continued push into AI-driven creative tools, including the recently introduced Firefly AI Assistant in public beta. Together, these efforts indicate a strategy focused on embedding generative AI and automation deeper into its product suite while extending access through third-party platforms.
The connector is being rolled out globally and requires users to have both Claude and Adobe accounts for full functionality.
