In an era where supply chain volatility is the only constant, the line between operational excellence and customer satisfaction has never been thinner. This week’s Tech Tuesday highlights a dual-pronged evolution in the industry: the shift from siloed logistics to interconnected digital ecosystems, and the move from static search to conversational commerce.
While Loftware is busy dismantling the “four walls” of enterprise identity to create a unified global network, Frasers Group is proving that generative AI isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a conversion engine. From Manhattan Associates’ continued dominance in cloud-native transportation management to the debut of collaborative supply chain platforms, today’s landscape is defined by one goal: replacing fragmented systems with intelligent, real-time connectivity
Loftware Introduces Loftware Connect
Loftware said it has launched Loftware Connect, which the company describes as “a transformative new platform that redefines how organizations manage product identification across global supply chains.”
Addressing inaccuracies in product identification is, no pun intended, a lofty challenge. But Loftware has figured it out. The company said Loftware Connect is a secure, scalable network that “connects companies with their trading partners, replacing fragmented coordination with a unified digital foundation designed to improve resilience, compliance, and speed.”
The company said the industry is defined by volatility, and noted that supply chains “are only as strong as their weakest link.” A single breakdown in product identification accuracy, regulatory compliance, or authentication “can halt production lines, delay shipments, trigger recalls, and erode brand trust.”
Moreover, Loftware said as supply chain networks face more complex regulatory requirements, the old systems no longer work.
“Loftware Connect addresses this challenge by shifting product identification from isolated enterprise systems to a dynamic collaborative network,” the company said, adding that the platform features structured digital connections between organizations along with their trading partners, thereby creating visibility “and governance across every interaction that supports product identification and supply chain execution.”
Jim Bureau, chief executive officer of Loftware, said with Loftware Connect, the company is building the “infrastructure of trust for modern global commerce.” This is a huge departure from the siloed systems of the past.
“For decades, product identification has been managed within the four walls of the enterprise,” Bureau explained. “But goods move across borders, through suppliers, co-packers, and distribution centers, creating costly unknowns like a mislabeled component delaying an assembly line or triggering regulatory fines.” The CEO said the future requires fast and seamless collaboration, and Loftware Connect delivers.
The value proposition is straightforward. Using the platform allows businesses to quickly onboard suppliers, and do it at scale. Loftware Connect also companies to also standardize product identification processes across regions while ensuring accuracy across the supply chain.
Michelle Northey, chief product officer at Loftware, said the new platform represents a category-defining shift for the industry. “We designed this product solution to validate the core features of a connected trading partner network: secure connections, governed collaboration, and controlled information distribution. This is the beginning of a broader journey toward intelligent and network-driven supply chain coordination that will continue to expand to address our customers’ largest supply chain challenges.”
Frasers Launches AI Shopping Assistant
Frasers Group said it rolled out an AI shopping assistant for the group’s Frasers brand, formerly House of Fraser. “Ask Frasers,” is an AI shopping assistant “designed to make product exploration and discovery quicker and easier for customers than ever before,” the company said. As a result of the launch, the brand has experienced a 25 percent gain in sales conversions as compared to traditional search experiences.
The AI assistant is positioned across the brand’s website. The retailer said Ask Frasers “is a context-aware AI tool that goes beyond traditional search.” Under the hood, Ask Frasers is powered by Algolia’s Agentic Experience, which leverages external LLMs while also interpreting product data. The date include a product’s key features and availability as well as real-time popularity signals. The result is an improved shopping experience via precise and conversational answers to shopper queries.
Richard Lallo, group head of customer marketing at Frasers Group, said the company is committed to enhancing the customer journey, “from discovery through to conversion, by creating innovative solutions that give shoppers a connected, relevant and efficient shopping experience.”
Manhattan Associates Secures Eighth Consecutive Leader Title in Gartner Magic Quadrant
Manhattan Associates Inc. scored a “Leader” position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems for the eighth year running. The recognition highlights the company’s commitment to evolving beyond traditional logistics by integrating agentic AI and a 100 percent microservices architecture into its Manhattan Active Transportation Management platform.
The company said unlike legacy systems that carry their technical limitations into the cloud, Manhattan’s cloud-native approach is designed to provide the speed and scale necessary for modern, high-velocity supply chains.
The recognition comes at a time when global supply chain leaders face unprecedented volatility. Recent data from the company indicates that 82 percent of operations have been impacted by new tariffs, with nearly half of all supply chain activity experiencing some form of disruption. By moving transportation management from a back-office cost center to a strategic lever, Manhattan said its solution enables shippers to navigate geopolitical instability and shifting trade regulations with real-time visibility and automated intelligence.
