New Delhi: Colin Fleming has joined OpenAI as Chief Marketing Officer, Business. Fleming announced the move through a LinkedIn post, shortly after sharing that he was stepping down from ServiceNow following what he described as “the most meaningful chapter” of his career.

In the post announcing his new role, Fleming wrote, “Now I get to share what’s next: I’m joining OpenAI as Chief Marketing Officer, Business. Hard to overstate how surreal that sentence feels.”

Speaking about OpenAI and the pace of AI-led innovation, he added, “Some companies build great products. A few changes what people believe is possible. OpenAI is one of those companies.”

Before joining OpenAI, Fleming served as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at ServiceNow since May 2024, where he was part of the executive leadership team helping shape the company’s AI transition as it scaled beyond $15 billion in annual revenue. He led brand, go-to-market, and narrative evolution across platforms, agentic AI, and autonomous workflows.

Prior to ServiceNow, Fleming spent over 13 years at Salesforce in multiple leadership positions, including Executive Vice President, Global Marketing, and Chief Brand Officer. He also worked on global brand and product storytelling while working at Salesforce, which expanded beyond CRM into a broader cloud and AI-focused company.

Earlier in his career, Fleming was associated with eSoles as Head of Marketing, Partner. He also had a professional motorsports career with Red Bull Racing, serving as a racing driver across North America and Europe, including Formula 1 reserve driver responsibilities.
