ChatGPT and several OpenAI services experienced a partial outage affecting multiple features, with issues being investigated
With the burgeoning burden of everyday tasks, it seems that one of the most widely used AI chatbots, ChatGPT, has witnessed a partial outage. As per OpenAI’s incident page- Status.OpenAi, ChatGPT and Codex have been experiencing a partial outage that is currently under investigation.
OpenAI has confirmed that it is looking into the issue across a range of listed services. The services affected include Conversations, Login, Compliance API, Search, File Uploads, Voice Mode, GPTs, Image Generation, Deep Research, Agent, ChatGPT Tasks, and Connectors App. Beyond that, the app also seemed to be experiencing similar issues.

Downdetector, which often registers user complaints when a platform is down, witnessed a sharp increase in complaints around 7:45. After that, the number of complaints dwindled to around 800.
Users trying to use the chatbot are being met with a loading dot on screen and no response whatsoever.
As per the ChatGPT status page, all functions of the chatbot are now functional, and 12 affected components, including Codex, have been brought back to an operational state.
