In this episode of “Selling Cyber,” the panel breaks down whether enterprises can sustain skyrocketing token budgets, Anthropic’s strategy to push cybersecurity queries in Fable 5 to less powerful models, and its plan to manage and retain data input by customers. This episode was recorded prior to the U.S. Commerce Department imposing export controls on Fable 5 and Mythos 5, which were lifted June 30 (see: Anthropic Unveils Claude Fable 5, Keeps Mythos Restricted).

“What we’re finding is that the ability to exploit software got substantially easier, in the same way that the ability to write software got substantially easier,” said Forrester’s Jeff Pollard. “As a result of that, organizations are going to have to accept a lot more risk to deploy a patch. Vendors might potentially risk downtime, but it’s worth it because it’s a lot better to potentially give partial bill credits than it is to deal with 5 to 9 years of litigation due to a data breach.”
