\"<p>TripuraTripura has partnered with Google to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities. This collaboration aims to modernise citizen services and strengthen cloud infrastructure across the state. Agartala<\/a>: Tripura has made a significant stride by signing an MoU<\/a> with Google<\/a> to enhance its artificial intelligence<\/a> (AI) capabilities, cloud infrastructure and modernisation of citizen services.<\/p>\n

The partnership reflects Tripura\u2019s commitment to a digital future and its ambition to lead in technology-driven governance in the Northeast, IT secretary Kiran Gitte<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Tripura implemented the fastest and most extensive e-office network<\/a> in India, scaling up from a pilot launch at the state secretariat in May 2023 to achieving full compliance across all three tiers of Panchayati Raj by mid-2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, through the collaboration with Google, Tripura aims to leverage the expertise of one of the world\u2019s foremost technology companies to enhance public administration and elevate the day-to-day experiences of its citizens,\u201d Gitte said.<\/p>\n

He added that the agreement aligns with a broader trend in digital public infrastructure development, where govts establish policy frameworks and tech firms provide expertise and resources.<\/p>\n

Tripura has set the stage for this with investment-friendly policies, competitive power tariffs and flexible land leasing, alongside initiatives like the UNNOTI Digital Public Infrastructure<\/a> platform and a Cyber Security Policy to promote responsible AI adoption, he pointed out.<\/p>\n

The planned Tripura IT & Data Ecosystem Zone, covering 5.81 acres in Agartala, and an upcoming 10-acre IT Park with an AI Centre of Excellence will serve as the physical backbone for these initiatives.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Tripura is the first state to complete work in all 51 priority areas outlined in the Centre\u2019s Deregulation Initiative, earning recognition as a \u2018Top Achiever\u2019 under the Business Reform Action Plan 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A successful AI-enabled public administration could transform the region, leading to faster citizen services, expanded healthcare access and a trained local workforce.<\/p>\n

The partnership\u2019s focus on skill development is crucial, addressing the flight of talent from the state. Approximately 5,000 technically qualified graduates pass out in Tripura each year, with many currently seeking opportunities in IT hubs elsewhere in India or abroad.<\/p>\n

The extensive training programme is designed to cultivate a local talent pool for future data centres, AI facilities and Global Capability Centres (GCCs). At a recent conclave, Vinamra Jain, account director at Google Cloud India<\/a>, described the MoU as a vital step to help the Tripura govt enhance citizen services and welfare while upskilling the state\u2019s workforce.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Airtel is investing \u20b9200 crore in a data centre in Agartala, alongside Salesforce\u2019s commitment to providing AI-enabled citizen services.\n <\/p>\n
