They also issued a subpoena for any and all media related to the FSU shooting on April 17, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlorida is leading the way in cracking down on AI\u2019s use in criminal behavior, and if ChatGPT were a person, it would be facing charges for murder,\u201d said AG Uthmeier. \u201cThis criminal investigation will determine whether OpenAI bears criminal responsibility for ChatGPT\u2019s actions in the shooting at Florida State University last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tampa Bay 28 was at the event and streamed it live on the<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay28.com\/live2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> website<\/a> and<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tampabaynews\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.
