{"id":108020,"date":"2026-07-16T11:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/108020\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T11:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:02:15","slug":"the-very-group-chooses-uipath-to-apply-agentic-ai-to-retail-pricing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/108020\/","title":{"rendered":"The Very Group chooses UiPath to apply agentic AI to retail pricing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Online retailer The Very Group has signed a three-year agreement with software company UiPath to overhaul its pricing strategy through agentic AI. <\/p>\n<p>The firms will work together to deploy an AI-powered pricing solution, with the aim of optimising The Very Group\u2019s gross margin, stock management, and oversight of product performance and margins. <\/p>\n<p>It will then roll this out across its retail brands, which include Very.co.uk and Littlewoods UK and Ireland. <\/p>\n<p>The Very Group and UiPath will also work on more advanced features such as campaign simulations and optimisation and retail scenario planning. <\/p>\n<p>Catherine Frame, director of retail solutions at UiPath, said that AI can \u201cfundamentally reshape retail pricing\u201d and help make use retail data for \u201cintelligent, explainable decision-making\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Sam Wright, chief customer and commercial officer at The Very Group, said: \u201cWe have a range of over 200,000 products and pricing is one of the most powerful levers in retail. The combination of our expertise and their data is helping Very stay ahead of shifting consumer demand and trends to make more informed decisions on pricing and merchandising.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Over the past 18 months The Very Group has changed hands and could be set for another sale. In February 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/retail-systems.com\/rs\/The_Very_Group_Changes_Hands_As_Carlyle_Takes_Control.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">US investment firm Carlyle became the controlling shareholder for The Very Group<\/a> after over two decades under the control of the Barclay family. <\/p>\n<p>In January, Sky News reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/retail-systems.com\/rs\/Very_Group_Lines_Up_2bn_Sale.php\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carlyle is preparing to sell The Very Group for approximately \u00a32 billion<\/a>.
