The app will continue its life as a standalone product that coexists with Google\u2019s main Gemini chatbot. However, the company wants Gemini Notebook to stand out as a \u201cpremier research tool\u201d that integrates even better with Google Gemini and Google Search.<\/p>\n<p>The killer feature of NotebookLM \u2013 sorry, Gemini Notebook \u2013 is probably its ability to extract information across different sources, including text, graphs, images, and audio, synthesize it, and transform it into digestible formats including mind maps and audio overviews. Still, it\u2019s quite hard to explain what the app is for to people already hooked to ChatGPT or even the main Google Gemini app.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s probably confusing about Gemini Notebook is that the app can organize information into notebooks, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thurrott.com\/a-i\/google-gemini-a-i\/334692\/google-brings-notebooks-to-gemini\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the main Gemini app also has notebooks now<\/a>. And these notebooks created in Gemini also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thurrott.com\/a-i\/google-gemini-a-i\/334692\/google-brings-notebooks-to-gemini\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sync to Gemini Notebook<\/a>.
