{"id":1126,"date":"2026-04-08T23:43:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T23:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/1126\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T23:43:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T23:43:14","slug":"myrtle-beach-launches-ai-powered-tool-for-resident-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/1126\/","title":{"rendered":"Myrtle Beach launches AI-powered tool for resident feedback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) &#8211; Myrtle Beach residents can now provide feedback to city leaders at any time through a new AI-powered platform, expanding access beyond traditional public forums and meetings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">RELATED COVERAGE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmbfnews.com\/2026\/04\/08\/myrtle-beach-seeks-resident-input-land-use-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wmbfnews.com\/2026\/04\/08\/myrtle-beach-seeks-resident-input-land-use-plan\/\">Myrtle Beach seeks resident input on land use plan<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The city\u2019s Planning Department is using a platform called Resonus to gather input on land use throughout the city. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The tool includes an AI-powered assistant that allows residents to ask questions and give feedback in any language.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe last round of comprehensive plan revisions we did had the highest amount of citizen engagement,\u201d said Cameron Armstrong, city of Myrtle Beach senior planner. \u201cWe really wanted to double down on that and explore new avenues to help people who aren\u2019t able to make it to traditional meetings come out and give their feedback.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The department is collecting feedback as part of the land use element of the city\u2019s comprehensive plan. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The input will help inform decisions on new developments, including parks and commercial spaces.<\/p>\n<p>How residents can participate<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Residents can access the platform by texting 843-913-8080 or creating an account <a href=\"https:\/\/app.reson.us\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/app.reson.us\/login\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The platform includes pre-generated polls where residents can vote, or they can voice specific concerns directly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe more engagement we get from our community, the better we can reflect our community\u2019s ambitions and goals of where we want to push the city of Myrtle Beach,\u201d Armstrong said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The new platform is not replacing in-person public forums. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">City officials said it provides another avenue for collecting resident opinions and creates access for those unable to attend meetings in person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cSo this is a great opportunity for the community members to shape what we are doing on a day-to-day basis with the city of Myrtle Beach,\u201d Armstrong said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Armstrong said the city is taking the feedback seriously.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Feel more informed, prepared, and connected with WMBF.
