Formerly known as Object Classes and Values (Preview), this JEP proposes to enhance the language with value objects, defined as objects that: only contain final fields; do not have identity; and are solely distinguished by the values of their respective fields.<\/p>\n<p>JDK 27<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/openjdk\/jdk\/releases\/tag\/jdk-27%2B31\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Build 31<\/a> of the JDK 27 <a href=\"https:\/\/jdk.java.net\/27\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">early-access builds<\/a> was made available this past week featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/openjdk\/jdk\/compare\/jdk-27%2B30...jdk-27%2B31\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">updates<\/a> from Build 30 that include fixes for various <a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.openjdk.org\/issues\/?jql=project%20%3D%20JDK%20AND%20fixversion%20%3D%2027%20and%20%22resolved%20in%20build%22%20%3D%20b31%20order%20by%20component%2C%20subcomponent\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">issues<\/a>. More details on this release may be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/jdk.java.net\/28\/release-notes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>WildFly<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildfly.org\/news\/2026\/07\/16\/WildFly-41-is-released\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildfly.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WildFly<\/a> 41 delivers bug fixes, dependency upgrades and new features such as: bootable JARs added to the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wildfly\/wildfly-cloud-galleon-pack\/blob\/main\/README.md\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wildfly-cloud-galleon-pack<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.wildfly.org\/wildfly-maven-plugin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wildfly-maven-plugin<\/a> feature packs; a JDK 25 edition of the WildFly <a href=\"https:\/\/quay.io\/repository\/wildfly\/wildfly\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">container<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/quay.io\/repository\/wildfly\/wildfly-s2i\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S2I builder<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/quay.io\/repository\/wildfly\/wildfly-runtime\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">runtime<\/a> images that replace the JDK 17 edition; and a number of features that have been promoted from preview to community and default <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.wildfly.org\/41\/Admin_Guide.html#Feature_stability_levels\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stability levels<\/a>. Further details on this release may be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wildfly\/wildfly\/releases\/tag\/41.0.0.Final\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Open Liberty<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/openliberty.io\/blog\/2026\/07\/14\/26.0.0.7.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GA release<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/openliberty.io\/blog\/2026\/07\/14\/26.0.0.7.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Open Liberty<\/a> 26.0.0.7 ships with bug fixes and new features such as: tracking of logged-out Single Sign-On (SSO) cookies by default so they can no longer be replayed after logout; and the ability to disable the \/health endpoints from <a href=\"https:\/\/microprofile.io\/specifications\/health\/4-0\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MicroProfile Health 4.0<\/a> when using a file-based health check mechanism. This release also addresses eight CVEs that caused denial-of-service, HTTP request smuggling and server-side request forgery.<\/p>\n<p>TornadoVM<\/p>\n<p>The release of TornadoVM 5.1.0 provides bug fixes and new features such as: support for the E4M3 and E5M2 eight-bit floating-point storage in the CUDA backend; the addition of an opt-in staged host-to-device transfer path for the PTX and CUDA backends; and a performance improvement from within the withIntraPlanConcurrency() method, defined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/beehive-lab\/TornadoVM\/blob\/master\/tornado-api\/src\/main\/java\/uk\/ac\/manchester\/tornado\/api\/TornadoExecutionPlan.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TornadoExecutionPlan<\/a> class, that reduces the general per-operation and per-join bookkeeping cost for all intra-plan concurrency plans. More details on this release may be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/beehive-lab\/TornadoVM\/releases\/tag\/v5.1.0-jdk25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apache TomEE<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mail-archive.com\/users@tomee.apache.org\/msg18329.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/tomee.apache.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apache TomEE<\/a> 10.2.0 delivers dependency upgrades and resolutions to notable bug fixes such as: the sslTruststorePassword parameter from the HttpConnection inner class, defined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/apache\/tomee\/blob\/main\/server\/openejb-client\/src\/main\/java\/org\/apache\/openejb\/client\/HttpConnectionFactory.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HttpConnectionFactory<\/a> class, is not masked\/stripped during logging; and an AuthenticationException thrown from within the authenticate() method, defined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/apache\/tomee\/blob\/main\/server\/openejb-client\/src\/main\/java\/org\/apache\/openejb\/client\/JNDIContext.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JNDIContext<\/a> class that loses the cause thrown by the RemoteException. Further details on this release may be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/tomee.apache.org\/10.2.0\/release-notes.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Java Operator SDK<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/javaoperatorsdk.io\/blog\/2026\/07\/17\/version-5.5-released\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/javaoperatorsdk.io\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Java Operator SDK<\/a> 5.5.0 ships with notable changes such as: a complete and consistent family of update\/patch\/create methods in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/operator-framework\/java-operator-sdk\/blob\/main\/operator-framework-core\/src\/main\/java\/io\/javaoperatorsdk\/operator\/api\/reconciler\/ResourceOperations.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ResourceOperations<\/a> class that support the RFC 6902, <a href=\"https:\/\/datatracker.ietf.org\/doc\/html\/rfc6902\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Patch<\/a>, and RFC 7386, <a href=\"https:\/\/datatracker.ietf.org\/doc\/html\/rfc7386\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JSON Merge Patch<\/a>, specifications; and a new <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/operator-framework\/java-operator-sdk\/blob\/main\/operator-framework-core\/src\/main\/java\/io\/javaoperatorsdk\/operator\/api\/reconciler\/matcher\/Matcher.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matcher<\/a> interface that allows developers to plug a custom matching strategy into the overloaded matchAndFilter() method defined in the Options class. More details on this release may be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/operator-framework\/java-operator-sdk\/releases\/tag\/v5.5.0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">release notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>LangChain4j<\/p>\n<p>The formal release (along with the twenty-eighth beta release) of <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/langchain4j\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LangChain4j<\/a> 1.18.0 provides bug fixes and new features such as: a new <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/it-index\/what-is-bdi-belief-desire-intention-architecture\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Belief-Desire-Intention<\/a> (BDI) agentic pattern that &#8220;provides a structured method to formalize psychological concepts for software and robotic systems;&#8221; a new <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/langchain4j\/langchain4j\/blob\/main\/langchain4j-core\/src\/main\/java\/dev\/langchain4j\/model\/audio\/TextToSpeechModel.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TextToSpeechModel<\/a> interface to support for the OpenAI <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.openai.com\/api\/docs\/guides\/text-to-speech\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Text-to-Speech<\/a> API; and a new <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/langchain4j\/langchain4j\/blob\/main\/langchain4j-mistral-ai\/src\/main\/java\/dev\/langchain4j\/model\/mistralai\/MistralAiBatchChatModel.java\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MistralAiBatchChatModel<\/a> class to support the <a href=\"https:\/\/mistral.ai\/news\/batch-api\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mistral Batch<\/a> API. As per the blog post,<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The change happens during augmentation. There is no Java agent and no runtime instrumentation. The transformed class works in JVM mode, dev mode, and native executables.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>This is an experimental extension built with Quarkus 3.37.3.<\/p>\n<p>Oracle<\/p>\n<p>Oracle has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/news\/announcement\/oracle-introduces-ai-native-builder-experience-2026-07-14\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">introduced<\/a> a new AI-native builder experience for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/applications\/fusion-ai\/#studio\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications<\/a>. This allows customers to create and natively run Fusion Agentic Applications from within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/applications\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications<\/a>.
