Neo<\/a> has emerged from stealth with $100m in funding to help enterprises govern the rapid spread of AI agents across their software estates.<\/p>\n

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners, with Craft Ventures and Merlin Ventures also taking part. The fresh capital will be channelled into an aggressive expansion of Neo\u2019s engineering and go-to-market functions, as businesses race to lock down security around fast-growing agentic software adoption.<\/p>\n

The company argues that enterprise environments are transforming more quickly than legacy security programmes can keep pace with. Staff are bringing in new AI tools from the ground up, while incumbent vendors are layering agentic features into applications that already sit inside approved corporate stacks.<\/p>\n

This leaves SecOps teams responsible for autonomous software running within sanctioned business tools, frequently without the oversight required to police its behaviour. Gartner figures cited by the firm show that just 5% of enterprise applications carried agentic capabilities in 2025, a figure expected to hit 40% by the close of 2026.<\/p>\n

Older security architectures assumed deterministic applications, human operators and predictable data flows. Agentic systems break those assumptions, acting on their own initiative, imitating user behaviour, inheriting permissions, chaining tools together and traversing workflows in ways that look legitimate to defences designed for earlier software generations.<\/p>\n

Neo\u2019s answer is a real-time control layer for shifting software stacks. Its platform delivers five core capabilities. A Neoverse-powered inventory catalogues AI agents, AI-enabled applications, plugins, extensions, MCP servers and traditional software gaining agentic functions, drawing on Neo\u2019s continuously refreshed knowledge base.<\/p>\n

The founding team brings substantial cybersecurity pedigree. CEO and co-founder Nick Warner built SentinelOne\u2019s go-to-market organisation and, as COO, steered the firm through its 2021 public listing, following senior positions at Cylance, McAfee and Forcepoint.<\/p>\n

Co-founder Shlomi Salem ran detection engineering at SentinelOne for over a decade and co-led its internal threat research unit. Co-founder Eran Shirazi previously co-founded customer experience business EasySend and led major enterprise R&D programmes after heading vulnerability research at the IDF\u2019s Unit 8200.<\/p>\n
