{"id":120121,"date":"2026-07-27T14:02:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T14:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/120121\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T14:02:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T14:02:12","slug":"ringcentral-sees-ai-adoption-strengthen-customer-economics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ai\/120121\/","title":{"rendered":"RingCentral Sees AI Adoption Strengthen Customer Economics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As AI becomes more embedded across\u00a0its communications platform, RingCentral is integrating the technology into everyday customer-engagement workflows with growing commercial traction.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With AI and AI-affected revenue now doubling, with retention above 100%, suggesting the technology is becoming a meaningful contributor to customer value and expansion. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For CX leaders, the shift highlights the need to move away from fragmented, experimental AI deployments that sit outside core communications and service operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vlad Shmunis, Founder, Chairman, and CEO for RingCentral,\u00a0outlined how the vendor is positioning AI as an intelligence layer across its communications and customer engagement platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRingCentral is becoming an intelligence layer where AI agents and human agents work together to manage customer interactions end-to-end for better business outcomes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>AI Now Shapes Platform Value<\/p>\n<p>As AI is becomes more embedded across the communications platform, RingCentral is integrating it into everyday customer engagement workflows with strong commercial results.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company reported its customers were using at least one of RingCentral\u2019s native paid AI products in their operations which represents 13% of the company\u2019s ARR, as well as delivering net retention above 100% and meaningfully higher ARPU than the broader customer base.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These results suggest organizations adopting AI are increasing their spending and retention, supporting Gartner\u2019s view that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2026-1-15-gartner-says-worldwide-ai-spending-will-total-2-point-5-trillion-dollars-in-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">enterprises increasingly prefer AI from established software vendors with proven ROI and seamless integration.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As AI becomes a core driver of platform expansion, adoption now contributes to stronger customer economics, supporting both higher spending and longer-term retention.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI and AI-affected revenue is growing. It\u2019s again doubling, with meaningful numbers already and retention is over 100%,\u201d Shmunis explained.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Today, the distinction between AI revenue and traditional communications revenue becomes less meaningful because AI is increasingly influencing the value of every customer deployment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Having ended the quarter with more than 16,000 paying customers for AIR, ACE surpassing 6,300 customers, and the Customer Engagement Bundle exceeding 9,600 customers, the company is seeing AI move from an emerging capability to a core part of customer deployments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With\u00a0nearly half of new sales now including\u00a0AI\u00a0capabilities, the integration of the technology is becoming central to customer purchase decisions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shmunis noted:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAI is rapidly becoming an integral part of the offering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As AI\u00a0evolves\u00a0into a standard expectation within unified communications and customer engagement platforms,\u00a0this will shift how\u00a0enterprises assess technology investments and\u00a0CX\u00a0capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adopting RingCentral Beyond Core Communications<\/p>\n<p>RingCentral\u2019s AI portfolio\u00a0is being applied to solve practical operational and customer service challenges\u00a0by reducing manual work, recovering missed customer interactions, and improving employee performance. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the clearest examples of customer success comes from VGM Group, having deployed AIR, AVA and ACE alongside RingEX\u00a0into its operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kira Makagon, President and COO at RingCentral,\u00a0highlighted how the customer enterprise is being enhanced with multiple AI capabilities implemented across operations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAIR recovered 45% of their calls previously lost to abandonment. AVA eliminated manual note-taking.
