Keyfactor announced its intent to acquire UK-based Cofide, an identity platform that secures software workloads and AI agents across cloud environments. The acquisition is intended to extend the Keyfactor Trust Control Plane to workloads and AI agents, giving security teams a single system to manage non-human identities across the enterprise. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Cofide\u2019s team and technology are expected to join Keyfactor immediately.<\/p>\n
Cofide\u2019s platform is built on open standards including SPIFFE, OAuth, and OIDC, giving each workload and AI agent its own unique, short-lived verified identity in place of static credentials that can be copied or stolen. Keyfactor said the addition strengthens its platform strategy by extending trusted identity into cloud-native and agentic architectures while remaining anchored to a centralized Trust Control Plane, as the number of automated systems operating inside enterprise environments continues to outpace the number of employees.<\/p>\n
