The acquisition is intended to extend the Keyfactor Trust Control Plane to workloads and AI agents, giving security teams a single system to manage non-human identities across the enterprise. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Cofide’s team and technology are expected to join Keyfactor immediately.

Cofide’s platform is built on open standards including SPIFFE, OAuth, and OIDC, giving each workload and AI agent its own unique, short-lived verified identity in place of static credentials that can be copied or stolen. Keyfactor said the addition strengthens its platform strategy by extending trusted identity into cloud-native and agentic architectures while remaining anchored to a centralized Trust Control Plane, as the number of automated systems operating inside enterprise environments continues to outpace the number of employees.

KEY QUOTES:

“At Keyfactor, we’ve built a track record of expanding our platform capabilities to meet the evolving demands of digital trust and security. Our intent to acquire Cofide is another step in that journey. As AI agents, machine identities, and autonomous workloads become critical to business operations, trust infrastructure must evolve to keep pace.”

Jordan Rackie, Chief Executive Officer, Keyfactor

“We built Cofide to provide an open standards-based trust layer that unifies workload IAM across multiple cloud platforms and environments, reducing operational complexity while strengthening our customer’s security. AI agents are proliferating faster than most organizations can secure them. Joining Keyfactor allows us to accelerate delivery of that vision at a scale and depth of trust no standalone company could achieve.”

Matthew Bates, Founder and CEO, Cofide

Thank you for visiting Pulse 2.0.
